GBU PAPER LEAKAGE WOE CONTINUES

MALDA, 5 AUG: The Chanchal College authority still sticks to their stand regarding ‘paper leak issue’. As per the version of the College authority the incident is not as formidable as ‘paper leakage’. Prof. Dilip Nandi, the President of the College Governing Body said today that the incident was a mere error. He repeated the version of the College authority that was given on Friday that a few question papers were mistakenly gave out in examination halls. No sooner had it been detected than those question papers were taken back. “Therefore, the incident cannot be termed as ‘paper leak' in the true sense of the term”, Prof. Nandi Said. He also said that the the issue is being inquired into by the District Police after the College authority lodged an FIR and they are awaiting the police report in this regard. However, the students’ wings of different political parties including SFI are not at all interested in lending their ears to the version given by the College authority. District S.F.I Secretary Mr Joy Chakrabarty said today that they are going to hand over a deputation to S.D.O, Chanchal tomorrow demanding immediate detection of the people involved in this regard. He also expressed his annoyance over the different irregularities concerning  Gour Banga University. He demanded that the Vice-Chancellor must spend more time in Malda to strongly supervise the University affairs. No less vocal is the District President of Chhatra Parishad regarding the issue of alleged ‘paper leakage.’ He alleged that Gour Banga University authority is more interested in acting in the interest of CPI (M) than preserving the interest of students and education. He threatened that they will indulge in massive protest under the leadership of two Congress MPs Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury and Mousam Noor shortly and would go to the extent of an indefinite closure of the varsity.
