Minor Malda Girl Recovered from Haryana
Malda, Dec 3, 2012: In a joint rescue operation by Haryana Police, West Bengal Police and an NGO a 15 year old minor girl, a native of Malda was rescued from Kaithal District of Haryana. The girl was kidnapped by one Sandeep and his friend while she was returning from school at Harishchandrapur, Malda about six months back.
They with the help of the driver dragged the girl in a van by giving her life threat. From there she was brought to Delhi by train and subsequently to Sandeep’s house at Sirta Road under Sadar police station, Kaithal, Haryana. The girl was allegedly sold several times and finally to Sandeep by the exchange of Rs.50000. Sandeep forcibly kept the girl with him and subjected her to worst form of slavery. She would perform household chores the whole day and at night Sandeep would torment her sexually. During the time of rescue the minor girl was found four and half months pregnant.
Earlier the girl’s family had lodged a missing complaint with the Harish Chandrapur Police Station Malda, West Bengal on October 12, 2012. Accordingly an FIR was lodged u/s 366A/365 IPC. The FIR no. is 522/12 dated 12/10/2012.
The victim’s father said, “One day, my son in law received a telephone call in which Murzina stated that she was taken to Delhi first and then to Kaithal, Haryana and was sold. The place was unknown to her so she was not able to explain about the locality. After the call received I informed the same to the local police station.”
SP, Malda Jayanta Pal said, “After receiving the complaint we sent a team to Haryana and the girl was rescued on 30th November. However, the accused were absconding. She was taken to Malda yesterday.”
