BJP’s rally today outshone the rallies held by other parties during nominations. The rally started from district BJP office at Jubilee Road and ended in front of the district administrative building. Presence of the women in the rally drew notice of the people. All the BJP supporters put on the badges with the photograph of BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Roy submitted his nomination around 1.30 pm to Malda DM Sharad Dwivedi. Goswami followed him and tendered nomination around 1.45 pm with Additional DM Sanjib Chaki.

Roy said, “Congress with rest of the countries has made a disastrous show in Malda south constituency too. Though the sitting MP was an minister in the centre, he did no development for Malda south. So people are desperately opting for a change this time.”
