Five Gambhira teams have been retained by the district administrations who would be holding shows in different areas of 15 blocks. The show was kick started today in front of the district administrative headquarter in presence of the officials. Altogether Rs 40,000 would be spent for the show and each team would be getting Rs 5,000. Each team would be covering two blocks in the district.

Dwivedi said, “The objective of engaging the Gambhira artistes is to generate consciousness about franchise among the voters. We hope this would yield an encouraging response.”

In addition two tableaus started moving across the districts from today. Those tableaus have been decorated with catchy slogans urging the voters to turn up to the polling booths in large numbers and exercise their democratic right.
